i did indeed moresound and he was more than helpful with the choice of mic and how it is mounted. thanks to everyone once again for the aid. smoke me a skipper, i'll be back for a deckhand. I'm turning into a smeg head

i hope so mate but at that price i dont think i can go wrong. I must admit i had to do a double take when i read the size of it too. I'll make a pvc pipe shockmount for it like i did for my other sdc which work great.
