I am having 2 issues.
I'm not new to recording, but I'm new to PC based recording. I've been a Roland VS880 user for a long time and know my way around a signal chain.
One issue is while recording - I am missing odd bits of the track in the recording process. It seems to drop a few milliseconds occasionally each time I record a track. All forms of input give the same issue, mic, ipod, whatever I connect to the US 144. Levels are health etc.
I have a different issue on playback - a couple of seconds drops out occasionally. If I replay, the missing bit is OK, but the same issue recurs a short time after.
Specs? - Lenovo i7 with 2.3 GHz clock, 6GB RAM , lots of disk, new system, clean disk and no fragmentation.
Tascam US144MK2 interface.
What have I tried?
Checked and loaded US144 drivers - now have 2.3.4 - no difference
I tried the beloved ASIO$ALL that everyone and their dog seems to favor - no difference.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
