Just got this back from Finemastering...my first mastered track

a lot more bottom end than my home attempts, I think Jan's done a great job with it...now to work on the album





whatcha think?
 
Sweet - love the paches and samples - and the mastering is super! Loud, crisp and clean!

thanks for listening again Gerry!...this was just a test, the others will be done in a group...maybe even tweak this one again as Jan will balance it with the others

This should shake walls and cause floors to heave.
Big posterior & very cool.
Cool track and the mastering has done what it should - brought out a little more of the best.
Listening with H/phones but feel like I should have it on a CD & cranked on the living room stereo for an Xmas booze/knees up.

Yeah, now thats the bass I was talking about. Sounds terrific, came out very nice.

Halfway through a skanker just now but doubt Ill finish it before I go...taking my macbook and maschine mikro to Asia with me...the music never stops!

Yeah we brought up the kicks before it was mastered, its definitely an improvement and gives me something to aim for...I can translate my own stuff easier than a commercial mix...though this one stands up pretty well sonically, got a bit to go before I climb the urban charts lol

yup...well spotted mate, this mid bass stuff confuses me, Jans master is helping clear it up


I just wanna fix the mixes on the rest and send them to him to hear how they turn out


One day I hope to do this for my self but listening to some of my attempts its clear that it wont be for a while ;)

Bring a few microphones as well I m sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get some real nice live samples along the way. ;)

Im sure when Im at the stalls sampling my delish food cooking It'll be the only sampling I do :)

What part of S.E. Asia are you heading for?
I knew some good places to eat in Hanoi & Hue as well as Yogjakarta and Batavia!
#1 eating tip for S.E.A...DON'T ask if it's dog...or snake...or anything really. Oh, and if it says lamb it's probably goat BUT that's excellent too.
BUT BUT BUT don't drink the whiskey with dead animals in the bottle!

I'm in Malaysia and Thailand bud, I go every couple of years but not for long this time...want to make that album!

This was all done in Ableton, joking aside if your kids do go ahead with it lemme know if I can help with any problems :)

Even is the key...its sounds a lot more level to me


Have a great time in SE....one of my favourite parts of the world...though HK is nucking futs :)
