New original song, what do ya think?

Excellent piece of work... could use a pop filter on the vocals. Love the bluesy tone of the guitars. Nice job

It sounds great, I like it. But I would apply some compression to the vocal to even out the level. It seems to rise and fall a little too much, as though you are moving closer and farther from the mic. It wouldn't be much or it might sound unnatural but if you have a subtle touch on the compressor, it could sound pretty awesome.

If you don't have a dry vocal track, i.e. pre-reverb, then be gentle with the compressor. If possible compress first, then add reverb

Thanks! I appreciate the insight, I will definitely try your suggestions, thanks again!!

There's abuzz during the licks in the early part of the song. Amp buzz? It's not particularly distracting but if you can deal with it you ought to.
Nice work otherwise.

Yep, that's buzz from the guitar! Arrrgghh!!! I thought I could eq it out, but nope! It was too late to go back and re record. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

Great!!! Stereo image seems thin to me?!?!? Super guitar stuff. Dig it!!!

Single coils? Just curious are they stock fenders? I use a 73 strat, I had the entire electronic cavity copper sheilded, its as quiet as humbuckers, worth it if its your favorite/main guitar.

Nice tune, great blues vocal.

I did that to my strat too. It does help, however, pup switch positions 2 and 4 seem quieter because they combine two pups that seem to cancel the noise to some extent.

So you would want to hear more of a stereo "fuller" mix? Thanks for the listen and comments! Glad you dig the guitar work!

Yep, single coils. They are some Fender custom shops, the entire pick guard has a shield. For some reason the days I recorded guitar I was catching some really nasty 60, usually I don't have that issue with any of my strats. Something dirtying up the juice that day. Thanks for the listen and comments!

I had thought about some highbryd puck ups, but they seem to loose a bit of that woody tone of a Strat. I know that Suhr makes a noise canceling system that I am digging. I typically don't dig the 2,4 positions, I like that 5 a lot! Lol

Strat pick guards do have a foil shield but any study of electromagnetic interference will tell you that radiated noise will get through even a tiny crack in the shielding so the pickguard shileding by itself is nothing like enough to stop the noise. The whole pickup cavity would have to be shielded to kill the noise more effectively. It would be a tough job to cover every gap in the shiled tho. There will always be at least some noise

Thanks mang! I will definitely check into doing that.

really enjoyed that song! I think it would be worth re-recording the lead guitars where there is buzzing as for me it is quite distracting. The guitar performance is great, and I also like the vocals! Top job, just listening to your other songs now!

Just don't expect anything spectacular. The pickups themselves are exposed to the outside and they are definitely a way in for electromagnetic radiation. The best you can do with shielding is to improve it a little
