Hi guys.

Here is my latest piano piece assigned to me by my piano teacher.
Beethoven Sonata Pathetique Op. 13. Hope you enjoy.

Wish I had this much talent when I was 13!! Well done and keep up the good work!

Once upon a time, there were four young lads and one older guy and they played the blues together and called themselves the Rollin' Stones after they'd been Little boy blue and the blue boys. They played the blues so well and they got a recording contract because of a Scouser called George. All they wanted to do was play the blues and turn everyone onto the music of these strange, unheard of black men that weren't allowed into resturants or had to give up seats on buses in their own country. They filled their first three albums with covers {and in those far off days an album had 13 or 14 songs on it} then it occurred to them that they needed their own songwriting identity because they couldn't keep on playing the blues and besides their Beatle~y, Who~y Kink~y rivals wrote most of their own stuff. Even the Dave Clark 5 and the Hollies were writing most of their own material and some of the Stones thought those two were lame.
So......they had a go and discovered after a few crummy starts that they could write good songs. And they never looked back. And they got rich. 46 years on, they're still writing songs. And they've done lots of other worthwhile things too.
The End.

ElenaHouse, as is often the case with your entries here, the piano playing is a delight.
However, I'm going to say what I often do to you.
Write some songs !

@grimtraveller
I feel I am such an amateur that I still need to practice much more before I can start producing my own product. I have only been singing for about 9 months and my piano playing has only had 2 serious years. I promise that I will start thinking about writing songs but I have so little time between the assignments of my piano and singing teachers and the memorizing of scripts for auditions each week. I have been invited to sing in a Nashville Showcase next month and I need to prepare for that too. Thank goodness I'm homeschooled, I'm 13 and in the 7th grade, or I would never have enough time for all of this.

Thank you ALL for your kind words and I will try to live up to your expectations.

All in good time..........Don't worry about our expectations as they're largely irrelevant {if anyone even has them}, you just enjoy what you do as much as is possible at any given moment and don't be overwhelmed and burn out before your time.
I guess because it's a homerecording website and most of my adult life has been spent working with and looking after kids, I have a natural inclination to encourage kids that I come across that have musical ability.
Relax, enjoy and don't forget the hard work.

BRAVO! Well done! I remember when I took piano lessons as a child. I remember I thought I was "too cool" to play the piano. So I quit learning. Oh how I wish I followed through with the lessons. One of my biggest regrets... So I ended up playing a "cooler" instrument... the guitar haha. Now I'm playing piano pieces on classical guitar such as Chopin and Horowitz. :laughings:

Moral of the story - Don't give up on the piano!!

It's funny though CrowsofFritz that I was advised to start learning the guitar because I can always back up my singing at Open Mic just by throwing a guitar over my shoulder. Sound advise. My main instrument will remain the piano.

Well a few chords learning the guitar isn't bad and can be a great thing! :D But for me personally, I find it hard to be a virtuoso playing multiple instruments.

The piano/keyboard is by far my favorite instrument. I started at 14 (I'm only 22) when my parents bought me a keyboard for Christmas. That was the best thing that ever happened to me!

Being that you are only 13, you will have plenty of time to achieve what you want on the instrument so don't quit for a second! You wont regret it.
