Need Help, would room sound too dead?

im gonna turn one of my rooms into a control room. Would the room sound dead with how its designed? ceiling is sloped. Highest point is 12 ft and lowest 8 ft 6in. length and width is 8ft 3in by 9ft 6in. And what should I use on ceiling? Please help. Would really appreciate it. Thank you and God Bless

Oh and if it makes any difference the room is a cement room. And the floor has tiles.
 
I'd get rid of all that foam and double-down on the broadband trapping first and foremost.
 
Thank you hahahaha. I was thinking about more broadband trapping but didnt think of getting rid of all the foam. Doesn't the foam help out the high and mids?

That is the last thing you need to worry about in your room. Work on the first reflection points and broadband absorbers (cloud) on the ceiling. Bass traps in back corners. Save your money by not getting foam until you get the basics down.
 
Thank you, appreciate it. Money is not really an issue. Just tryna make the room sound is good is possible. There's gonna be alittle vocal recording in the room and guitar/bass as well.

It does - But until the lows (90% of the problematic energy) are under control, it's not even worth attempting to dampen the highs. Typically, once the low end is under control, most of the high end will fall into place. A sheet or two of foam to handle the odd flutter is all that should be necessary.
 
ok so get rid of foam, and put up more broadband trapping and clouds and everything will be set. Once again thank you very much. Don't want to start putting up all this foam and what not only to make the room sound awful.
 
Here's an update I guess. Took out lots of foam and replaced with clouds and more bass traps. Any good?

Vertical corners for sure -- Some in the high-side corners are a big help also. I'd get rid of the foam all together and use front and rear wall broadband trapping as well along with those first-reflection points.

One thing you're certainly going to want to do is get away from that wall...

Nope not likely to stay that way just getting my career ready first and finish college before going out and getting a girl and getting her pregnant and not being able to support the family.
