Argumentative...
Title says it all. The only two I've looked at is zzounds.com and musiciansfriend.com

Any special one that might be above the rest or is it preference?

There's a few. Try Ebay. Depends what country you're in.

I prefer those two and musicians friend.
they all have pretty different selections, nice shipping, and sweetwaters service is above all the rest. ridiculously amazing customer service. they call you and keep you updated. they also include candy with their orders.

If you know what you want, I recommend:

8thstreet.com | The Original Online Music Superstore | 1-800-878-8882 | Free Shipping on most orders!

They have a huge inventory, they don't screw up orders, they answer the phone, and their prices are always near the bottom for any given item.

If you don't know what you want and need advice, and are willing to pay a little more for superlative customer service and expert advice. , look no farther than:

Computer Audio | Sweetwater.com

Almost anything there will cost you 10% or-so more than 8th street, and it is often worth it if you have a problem, or need to talk to someone with a clue.

Good luck, Richie

I've mostly using sites to look at customer reviews then searching for them across the web to find the lowest price. Ebay really is good. Lots of people underselling on here. Do you think a used good LDC is better than a brand new ok LDC??

That would depend on whether it's used, or *misused*.-Richie

There's not a lot of equipment I've seen as of late in the north Mississippi area on craigslist but i think Memphis might have a much better shot. Just haven't been back in awhile

Funny but the lowest prices I've found anywhere is IDJNOW ! Even though they cater to DJ's they have a full selection of stuff that musicians and recordist need and want.

Sweetwater, Musiciansfriend, American Musical Supply, Ebay, Craigslist, ZZounds, Amazon, Guitar Center - I check these before buying something. Musiciansfriend and AMS has this crazy daily sales, which is great. Craglists served me well several times.

I check Amazon, mostly to read the reviews.
My $0.02.

I would not buy from Sweetwater because I don't trust their "User reviews," which are ALL sweetness and light, saying that THIS product is the best in the world, you'll love it, etc. etc.. There's no such thing as a bad review on Sweetwater. Every product is AAA+++, which is bs.

Zzounds and others, on the other hand, have honest reviews, both good and bad. That gives them credibility, in my book.
