Has anyone tried Killer Homer Recording?

Hi guys,
I need the community's advice as to whether Killer Home Recording package is worth the money. I wonder if anyone has actually used it to improve their recording and mixing technique.

Looks promising, but I don't know if it's just for real or just a collection of generalizations that is impossible to implement.

I am trying to decide whether it's worth the money that i'm about to spend.

The first book in the series is offered as a free download on Brandon's site. Killer Home Recording: Setting Up
Lots of good information for a beginner.

His writing style is too crude for me and the whole "mega/killer" lingo grows old, but a lot of people seem to like it.

Not unusual at all, that's S.O.P. for shills & spammers. The only way he can prove he isn't, is to post dozens of newbie questions (NOT about specific products, but in general) in the coming few weeks.

If he's a spammer/shill he won't spend the time and energy to keep up the pretense. What he WILL spend time & energy on is denying he's a spammer...

Did anyone else find that video kind of underwhelming? You'd think that if you're advertising your HR tools, you'd want to ensure you have really good audio in your marketing materials.

I'm going to guess that most of his Killer Home Recording is simply a bunch of forum/web acquired info, compiled into specific categories.

If you want it served up like that, then buy it...otherwise you can find the same info on the interwebs for free....tons of it.

Not really. He has many years worth of recording experience and has just packaged up his thoughts into a series of pdf books covering a wide range of subjects.

I find his books knowledgeable and helpful, but his writing style does not suit my tastes.

I didn't say he has no hands-on experience, but in listening to him and reading some of his information...
...I'm still saying most of it is basic stuff you can find all over the Internet.
