Here is a new song I wrote. I had a buddy of mine play guitar for this one. And it's NOT death metal. I'm not sure what kind of music it would be or if it's even any good. It's just one of those songs I do for fun in between my Death Metal Gore Grind that I love so much.

There is a ton of info on the page about this song. It's basically a protest song about how people need to wake up and take American back from these NWO banker fat cats and corporate lobbyist that are destroying this country. Scroll down the page and read the lyrics while you're at it. I wanted to do something that had some type of mainsteam appeal, but with a message. Not really sure I reached the goal, but doesn't hurt to try...

Enjoyed the listen. Something seemed a bit off between the drums and the rest of the instruments. It was as if the drums were playing much harder than the rest of the instruments... Almost like it was in a different genre. Appreciated the message, too. During the parts where everything was going, mix got a bit messy. Sorry... It's late.. That's all I got. Definitely different from your other stuff. I like it!

I like the sound & style BUT from the lyric I can't tell whether you're advocating a Tea Party, a Faith Party, a Nationalist Party, a Civil War Party, a Survivalist Party, a Individualist Party or a Garden Party.
You've struck the notes in the lyrics that stir almost everyman and the song could be taken up by the Democrats about the Congress, the Republicans about the Senate, the Shooters Party about Gun Control Law or Communists about Big Money.

You're correct. I used the same kit that I would use for Death Metal and just toned it down some. I just like the way it sounds compared to my other options. I guess that's apart of experimenting. I'm always writing different types of songs and don't have any formula about how they should be done. Which leaves me constantly experimenting lol...

Well let me start by saying that my political beliefs are very constitutional. I'm not really apart of any party or movement although I support all the ones that are constitutional and will be voting for Ron Paul in 2012, obviously. I also feel that all forms of division are just holding people back. Too many subjects to take sides on and keeping the people divided is good business, but if the people were united it would be very dangerous for the system the way it's set up now. It needs to be changed, but for the good of the people, not to enslave them, but to set them free to do great things.

To me the song is a wake up call to all the sleeping people out there who need to wake up and smell the feces and also a warning to those who would oppressed us. All these evil deeds and stealing of American rights won't be tolerated.

Of course the song could have different meaning for different people. That's the great thing about music. It can strike a chord for a broad spectrum of different people who feel the same way about any given cause they support.

I'm with you on Ron! I voted for him last time too.

Kinda weird lyrics, I haven't really liked any political song since the 60's, and when punk was young.

The drums seem very present, I can hear the death metal influence on the kick. I doesn't really fit this song.

The strings are ok, but a little cheesy to me.

Thanks for the comments.

I spent a lot of time on the lyrics and it was a real challenge trying to figure out what I wanted to say. They are a little general, but then again I'm not confronting any one problem, I'm confronting all the problems on the plate of the USA and the world.

We have the USA dealing drugs and guns which have been published in mainstream new sources, yet is not known by most people. We have a war on drugs to keep the black market strong and the money is flooding in. The USA is 5% of the worlds population, yet 25% of Americans are behind bars. The worlds largest population of prisoners.

We have fluoride in the water medicating the people every day. We have trillions of dollars being spent by the government and leaving the general public to foot the bill. We have whole food companies being raided. Innocent people being molested in air ports by the TSA. A new unconstitutional super congress. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I'm just naming a few things. There is much much more and people are slowly waking up to the nightmare. That said, the lyrics may not seem so weird when you think about it. A little cheese goes a long way :D

Lol. Wait a minute, 25% of the US population is in prison? You got a link for that? That's 1 in 4. That seems a little high to me. :laughings:

FUCK THE HOUSE OF ROTHSCHILDS AND THE CABAL OF GANGSTERS THAT HAVE ENSLAVE US IN A MIND PRISON OF SPIRTUAL BONDAGE................kill your left brain you braindead sheeple

Ok sorry I didn't say that exactly right, almost a quarter of the worlds population of prisoners. Doesn't make it any less outrageous.

Here is a nice mainstream article for ya :D

Inmate Count in U.S. Dwarfs Other Nations’ - New York Times

Lol. Okay that seems a little more realistic.

I gotta be honest with you though, all this "sheeple" stuff seems pretty contrived and douchey. I mean, I don't think anyone gets their mind changed or eyes opened by lyrics anymore. If you find a niche of gullible retards to buy into this, then more power to ya. I hope it works out for you. But when I hear someone start getting over-preachy in music, I turn it off. Especially if it's whacked out conspiracy theory craziness. Mainly because I simply don't care about anything. I think it's silly that people get so worked up over things they don't really understand and can't control. :D

And that's cool, you're entitled to your opinion. It's not preachy at all though and it's not made to find a niche of people to buy it. It's more of a social statement and expression of MY views on today's serious problems. I'm NOT saying this next part to be insulting in anyway, but the reason you're calling it "whacked out conspiracy theory craziness" is because you don't care and are not following whats going on. The things I've said can easily be confirmed from several mainstream sources and also alternative news sources. You probably wont take the time to look it up. And it's a shame because your dismissiveness is only helping to spread disinformation about real problems that will effect not only you and I, but also the future of our children.

If you haven't noticed brother, the whole world is in revolt right now :D

There has to be a point in which you realize that nothing matters and you are powerless. Things are gonna happen that you can't control, and there's no point in getting mad about it. I reached that point along time ago. Why would anyone want to stay perpetually pissed at things out of their control? All I care about is me and mine. :)

P.S. - my comments were meant to be more about preachy music in general. I wasn't trying to single you out specifically.

I didn't take any offence man. I'm use to being criticized a lot. Not that it's a bad thing, but when you put yourself out there as much as I do you have to learn to take it with stride. The shit people give me is crazy LOL. Everything matters man. I care about much more than me and mine that's for sure. We may not be able to run for president, but that doesn't mean we can't stay informed and do our part when we can. Call me a sappy son of a bitch if you will, but I love seeing people come together and break the bonds of division. When we end all the ignorance, put aside all the ideals that keep us divided, and stand together we will be unstoppable :D

And if not we will be on our hands and knees together anyway.

I'm reading "Fooled by Randomness" right now, but I'll look up that one when I'm done with this one lol.

Like a previous poster said, I think the political comment is confusing. Your lyrics don't alienate anyone but, to me, they don't seem to say what you really mean either and after reading all of your posts on this thread I still don't know what political policies you stand for. Sorry, but if a song presents itself as being political, I want to know what it stands for. Musically I think this is a well structured and well performed song. In terms of the mix, I think the rhythm guitar is too loud and the string sounds are a bit Casio-esque (thats not good!). Good melody & chords though.

It's ok if you don't understand what I'm trying to say. I won't hold it against you :P

Read a Redneck Memoir - Rainbow Pie. It's an excellent exposition on the rural poor/underclass in the U.S. three generations on. It is similarly ambiguous in terms of it's defining politics (apart from an all pervading humanism) - & deliberately so being that bit picks up on opposing themes in the title.
My politics was clearly deliniated in my songs back in the 80's - about colonialism/imperialism of SEAsia by Europe/America & in Players' Worktime/Workers' Play Time, about the abondonment of others when things get tough (So Long Shuffle) indigenous rights (Full Circle) , Refugees (Mercedes #1), Regime change (Revolution Blues) etc. The closest I've dared come to internal US politics is Kennedy Avalon - & that really was just about iconism & hipocrisy. My position hasn't changed - pro labour, pro unionism, pro collective bargaining, pro compulsory voting, pro PUBLIC schooling & the separation of church and state, pro social conscious, social welfare, medicare etc etc. other than to broaden a bit more with experience. Billy Bragg was my generation's Woody & early Bob & I love him for it.
Fortunately our political system isn't hung on the pivot of a separately elected leader. Our elected rep's elect a leader once in place. The sheer money that goes into the contests leading up to the presidential lection is staggering & then there's that race too.
Of late my themes have been more abstract or general though Eyes Wired Open is about living with someone who has Bipolar Disorder. I began to understand why Billy had dropped some of his polemic & dogam - he grew older & had things happening to him & his that moved his focus - not permanently but significantly.
I do remind myself that wherever two or more people communicate there is politics. Mind you some people can manage that solo (internal dialogue not withstanding).
I really like your song - I think you can tweak it a bit with some of the suggestions you've received but I do believe that if you want the lyric to be a political statement you should nail your colours to a tree somewhere amongst them.
