I thought it was funny that the thread title says "I know zero about being an engineer." And then he went on and on about musicians vs. engineers and how no one here is a real engineer and how he's going back to the engineer forum.

I think he meant that being an engineer, he knew nothing about the stuff he'd inherited, rather than his poorly worded title of "Inherited a lot of classic home-musician gear I know zero about being an engineer". A simple comma after the "about" would have sufficed. A simple comma ! An engineer he may have been, a professor of linguistics he was not !
And where's the list ?
