And the new version of Adobe Audition is cross platform onto Apples now.
And both are using Intel processors.
They're just tools. Apple is superficially more stable...but at the expense of flexibility. Every man and his dog make bits of hardware and software to work with Windoze but this is a blessing and a curse.
I'm in the position where I use Windows PCs at home but the theatre where I freelance uses Apple gear for playback. Both systems have advantages and both have foibles.
Neither is "better". Both have their place. Frankly, my suggestion is to choose the best software for your purposes first, then choose the best hardware and operating system to run it. Whether you're on Windows or Apple, keep your DAW machine as clean as you possibly can and you'll be fine.
