You guys all blow me away - tough choice. I went with gecko. I'd like to hear a duet with Tom Waits. :D

Unfortunately I have no idea whether that's my time zone MDT or Australia time and it's close to that time in Melbourne now!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

C'mon Sillybee. The deadline is fast approaching.
If I'm going to win this thing, you need to get moving!

I wish I was a democrat so I could vote more than once.

Okay the votes are in and the results show the winner of HR Sonwriting Contest #2 is:

Congrats to rayc! Definately a great tune.

Congratulations to all of the people in this song writing contest
Unbelievable talent from around the world. ♫

Now we just need a record producer to stop by to start handing out the standard rich and famous contracts!

Well done Ray! Congratulations!

And thanks to all those who took part, and specially to ido1957 for organising it!

Again, it was great to listen to the variety and excellence of the members here, all in the one spot.

Congratulations rayc!

So, I'm guessing the other contributors were Greg on drums, Joey on vocals (duh!) and ido on the solos?

Right there Heatmiser - I was going to post a big congrats in Post # 1 but it's no longer editable - damn >;-(

Well done RayC.... :drunk:

You guys should totally form a band.... "Racey" is probably available again as a name! :D

Hello Folks & thanks also. I'm just stoked that more than my family listened to something I did, (even then my family don't do it willingly).
This is the songwriting forum & it's time to give credit where credit is due & validate the guesses:
The song was written by Joe Mizzi & myself with Greg & Gerry so its a Mizzi/Loyacano/Steele/Cochrane composition.
The arrangements were done by Greg L, Gerry/Ido, Joe & I.
All the vocals were by Joe.
All drums by Greg L &
Lead work was by Gerry/Ido1957
Those parts were phoned in (well the phone line was the conduit) by those gents.
Mixing was, (& still is being), done by me in consultation with those three fellows.
I learnt a lot in the process & will begin a different M.O. next time to make the song & sound more cohesive.
I'm glad someone liked it. I'd suggest if you do that you download the flac & convert it back to wav so you get the full thing. When I get far enough to faux or legit master the track I'll repost.
Ta!
Oh, as to the band name suggestion all I can say is..."some girls do, some girls don't..."
Oh, & in the event, possible I know, that the results are overturned due to creative democratic engagement - I remain pleased that more than the usual family listened & that some even liked.
