Not keen on the tune..playing is great, stripped back mix to my ears...like you just recorded and pushed the faders up...which suits it
I love sirens in songs lol
Id never have much on your mixing, this sounds pretty raw, as it prolly should...I liked the drum sounds in this, something a wee bit different about them compared to your recent sounds..kinda felt a bit more 60's sounding to me??
great work dood
haha thanks dude. I hope I didn't come off as douchey about not wanting mix advice. That wasn't my intention at all. I always welcome and appreciate feedback on my shit. My original intent was to just knock em out and let em sound how they sound. Spending a lot of time on them was never the plan. It's just for fun.Good thing you said you don't want any mix advice....Imagine how many people would have given it you if you said you actually wanted some.![]()
Great energy in both tunes, man.![]()
Thanks Ray. Hey I'm just kind of impressed that Joey or Dee Dee even knew that the cerebellum was part of the brain. The cerebellum isn't actually touched in a lobotomy but that's beside the point. The song goes straight to the foot tap cortex.
I hope I didn't come off as douchey about not wanting mix advice.
Not at all. Sometimes I feel like saying the same thing. But I don't trust my ears enough, especially since I often mix right after tracking and don't have fresh ears.
Often I feel like saying "I'm just looking for advice on the LEVELS. I don't want to know if YOU would add a kazoo on the 3rd line of the 2nd verse and pan it hard left if you were me". But, either you ask for advice or you don't, so I guess you have to expect people to give their 2 cents on just about anything.![]()
