Well kid the music is getting there but you should sing with more commitment.
Or bring in a vocalist.
I don't think its the quality of the voice - I believe he is referring to the conviction conveyed - like the emotion
of course I could be totally wrong but I think thats what hes talking about
did you record the vocals while playing guitar? You might want to just re-track the vocals.
Man you sound just like this dude Spencer I used to play music with - weird.
I recorded vocals separately. I had the volume on the headphones so loud and was basically screaming.
My dp008 is brokenwhich frustrates and has wrecked me beyond belief so I can't even try to work on the songs
Also, by singing not fitting do you mean the technique and stuff, or the melody?
forgive my ignorance

I didn't say anything about not fitting. If you did track them separately maybe you just need to work on the mix a little. Or maybe double track the vocals - Could just need some compression and EQ. The guitar is way too loud so it's really hard to tell - are you mixing in headphones?
Oops the not fitting was @moresound
Yeah, the mix is fucky.
I also didnt use compression or eq. Just straight into a DMP3.
Headphones? No......Yes I am.
Im trying to save for some Krk rokit 5s
lol @ fucky
you must have a stereo you can output to - even a home stereo is better than headphones. you need to be able to hear the sound coming out of speakers - I use headphones to check a mix once I get it close to done - but if you try to mix with just headphones you are going to end up with a mess - I tell you from first hand experience
Have you even listened to that on speakers?
Try adding some compression and EQ - and hell try the flanger like moresound said
you using Reaper?
Sorry to be blunt, but this has nothing to do with the recording.
Go and watch a stack of videos by Jesse Nemitz from Singing Success on youtube.
You need to learn vocal compression because when you went up in your range your vocals fell apart, you need to keep your larynx lower and learn proper resonance. Keep recording yourself and evaluating. This will improve your vocals. Also, do vocal warm ups, I suggest lip rolls (Will give you the right amount of air needed for each note) and Vocal fry exercises (Keep your tone even, helps with compression). You can find these also on youtube.
