Hey guys,

I was just looking at some covers of a song I liked and came across a guy with various covers and a great consistent effect going on in every song.

YouTube - Lay In My Bed - Conor Maynard

YouTube - Use Somebody - Conor Maynard

YouTube - Breathe - Conor Maynard

YouTube - Jessie J - Price Tag

Sure, he has got a good voice, but the majority of that is edited. Have to give it to him but, he has a great mix there.

Any ideas? VSTs, editing techniques, etc.

NO AUTOTUNE COMMENTS PLEASE EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOTICEABLY PRESENT.

Delay and a touch of reverb. You want the delays to be in time with the tempo of the song.

Why can't these guys pick up their laundry off the floor before recording a video in their bedroom?

And actually, the first guy is using the autotune pretty sparingly compared to a lot of people these days.

Hey thanks for this link. I've been doing it with pencil and paper. This will make it so much easier.

I agree with you about the laundry. and other stuff -- video in the bedroom: make the bed, pick up the dirty underwear, make sure the area in the video is really clean. Cover carpet stains up with a throw rug, etc.
