I not sure of the exact preset names but they have overall kit presets just like Addictive Drums. Producer presets that change the whole tone of the kit in one mouse click using reverb, compression, eq, levels etc...

What does your drop down menu say ?

Wait wait wait, you said you had Superior Drummer 2 is that right ? Not Ezdrummer ?

Ya i got SD, and i loaded the Nashville kit in there for the loops.

BTW i redid the song with played drumloops:

Id love to here youre comments.

I have a listen when I back at my other puter.

Still curious about your presets though, I found SD2 vids on youtube where they mouse to the preset dropdown.

Maybe you dont have that feature on your version of SD. Maybe worth your while upgrading to SD2 if they are anything like ADD presets. Which are awesome. :D

I solved this one, we were both right. There are producer presets in the NY Avatar set of SD2. However, i got the Nashville set which is an EZdrummer expansion. I got it for the country based drumset and loops. It unfortunately doesnt have presets for SD2, since EZdrummer is simpler i guess.

So i gotta mix them myself im afraid :) But there are presets for things like EQ, Comp on Kick, snare etc, which work ok for me.

You want to spend some more money ? :)

The Music City USA SDX™ Sounds of Nashville for SD2

Music City Presets for SD2 ..... Maybe worth getting this preset pack as its cheap and will still change the overall sound of your SD core Sound Library to something more Nashville...and without all the hassle. Do you really want to be dicking around yourself from scratch when these guys have consulted pro mixers ? ;)

Heheh, thought about that, but i already spent way too much money on this stuff. And im getting by with what i have now. Toontrack is pretty awesome though.....

I thought it was pretty good, You could take a little 3k out of the vocal and add some 8-10k. I thought the kick was kinda missing. Overall pretty good.

What language is that? Gaelic maybe? The mix sounded pretty good to me.

Its a dutch dialect. Thanks for the help and encouragement all. Seeing that i just started to mix my work im pretty satisfied with what more experienced ppl think of it. Guess im on the right track!

Dutch? Wow!

Just goes to show how connected northern European languages are. I could hear some old English peeking through which sounded a bit like Scottish Gaelic to me. I heard a glutteral throaty sound at one point which threw me off a bit. That should have been a clue that the language was Germanic. Nice job on the tune, i liked it.

Here's (what i'd like to think) the final version of my 1st mixed song.
I turned the kick up a notch to get that 'wave your hands from side to side'-feeling. Also i've given the mandolin a little more prominence according to some of your suggestions. The most dramatic change, and the one that im most interested in hearing your opinions, is that i put a vocal harmony in the chorus. I recreated it with Harmony Engine, so its hard to get it realistic. But i hope i camouflaged it well enough to get a way with it. :)
Anyway, plz let me know what you think, and if you think it could pass for finished. Although from what i've learned so far a mix never seems to be finished.....
