I got a new usb Mixer, and it came with the software? how do i use it, this is my first time recording, how do i record? how do i use my mixer with the software? and i dont have a soundcard im using the usb cable

1) The mixer is acting as an interface so it replaces your soundcard.
2) Install the ASIO drivers for your mixer as per manufacturers instructions. Probably a good idea to go online to get the latest.
3) Install Cubase.
4) In Cubase go to "Device Setup" from the "Devices" menu. Then click on "VST Audio System". Select your mixer as the AIO driver.
5) Go to "VST Connections" on the "Devices" menu and set up your ins and outs. For ins click "Add Bus" and select "Mono" then for count add as many ins as your mixer has. This should set them up. Under device port it will give you some idea of what inputs it automatically set up. For outs it's the same idea but you only need one stereo bus.
6) Add an audio track and select the input. Hit the monitor button and set your levels. Then arm it to record and hit the record button on the transport. Before you record you may want to turn the monitor button off.
I'm sure you'll be back with more questions but this will point you in the right direction.

Instructions in the stickies at the top of the forum. Cubase LE 4 is almost identical to 5.

Big Hint: Go to bookstore and get a Cubase book. The 'Cubase POWER' series is good.

You're no0t going to learn this hobby from individual posts; you need a reference book you can hold and USE.

If you still get this error message, no big deal just hit cancel and ignore it (all I had to do to get this message to show up was change sound cards and cubase shows this message).

Hire or find someone to show you cubase. I don't mean any offense but you seem to need someone to hold your hand here.

I know you advocate reading books, and I respect that, but that isn't true at all.
I bought 1 book on Cubase, and it didn't have anything in it that I hadn't already read elsewhere. I also lost a bit of faith in it anyway when I read the line "always make sure your input is just below clipping". This place has been my primary learning resource for home recording. I'd rather listen to people that I know have experience in the field than an author who may or may not. In terms of Cubase books, the best one I've ever read is the Cubase manual. Seriously. That thing is extensive.
I'm not bashing books here. Books are great, but I don't think you're giving this place and the wealth of knowledge within it enough credit. The guy can get an answer to this question here without needing to spend a bunch of money.

When I bought cubase I had to actually read part of the manual... as I got stuck I would go to the manual out of desperation, usually found what I needed.
you will have to go set your vst connections and all that, did your cubase 4 le come with a manual on psd or something?
*edit* I see they have a pretty good sticky up about setting up the hardware, but seriously, taking a look at a manual is not a bad idea.

If your usb mixer is like others that I have seen you can only get a 2 track off it through the usb anyway (all of the channels on your mixer get summed down to stereo and that's what you record in cubase).
The OP doesn't really have much information in it.
