Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new software, I am going to do mainly midi type stuff, and currently use Mixcraft 4, I like how simple it is and can do vocals and mic recording, and midi all that all in one.

I've played with reason before, but it seems a bit difficult at the moment.

I'm trying to sync with my roomate who uses a mac, and i want something we both can use and is fairly simple.

Are you planning on staying on PC or moving to Mac? From your post it sounds like you are trying to use a program that works universally.

yeah sorry, I have a PC, and my friend has a Mac, We are looking for a universal where we can email or flash drive files back and fourth between the two.

I'm currently trying to get a mac though, but it may take a while.

If you work with .wav files then most software can import them.

Hmm... well there's Reaper, Cubase, and ProTools. Those are all universally compatible. I'm not sure which one is best for what you're doing though. You might want to shuffle through the pros and cons of each of them.
