There are a few timing issuse in this track I am going to try and fix em up and they are going to redo the vox. I would like to know what you guys would change with the guitars and drums or just the music mix.
They are younger kids about 17 ish.

A few timing issues? The whole thing is a timing issue. People should practice and learn how to play before they record anything.

The mix lacks space and clarity. It's just a mash of noise. The levels are pretty good, meaning that everything is there and nothing is too loud for anything else. The problem is the sounds themselves. The guitars sound like sizzly ass. No punch. They sound like they were recorded direct straight from a stompbox. They don't have that round "chunk" that a real amp or good sim gives the guitar sound. The drums lack space and presence. They sound flat and pretty cardboardish. The toms don't sound too bad. The snare and kick need a lot of work. The kick should be pounding me in the face. This kick sounds like a hollow little click in the background. The vocals are also flat. They lack shine and presence. Eveything sounds one-dimensional. No air, space, and a lot of frequency clash.

The good news...it's probably fixable with smart EQ work. It's probably never gonna sound radio-ready or anything, but it can be made better. Just keep working with it.

Everything, basically. The whole mix just sounds mushy. No bite, no attack. The drums have no balls, they sound like cardboard. The vocals don't sit in the mix at all, but rather on top of it.

Pretty much agreed with everything Greg said.

is that tapping the bass drum?! Sounds like someone beating on an upturned empty 5-gallon plastic paint bucket. The vocals sound like he's singing through a bunch of pillows. The guitar is lost behind the thumping paint container and the angry young man singing through the pillow.

Maybe my comments aren't fair since I don't like this kind of music...but sounds like you might want to start over on this one.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's was good.

On a side note, am I the only one that finds Cookie Monster vocals hilarious? When have they EVER been scarrrry. I guess they would be scary if I saw a seven foot tall Norwegian, black metal clad badass doing it; but the fact that most of the time it's a pubescent suburbanite is laughable.
