To get slightly back to topic, I went everywhere around here looking for flush mount strap locks. I'd just bought a Fortress bass and the strap parts were missing. The gimp at Guitar Center at least knew what strap locks were, no idea what flush mount strap locks were. The ultra-gimp at Music Village didn't even know what strap locks were. I did find a small place where the owner knew what I was looking for, but was unable to source them. Luckily I was able to contact Warwick directly and they told me the brand of strap lock they used back then and I sourced my own.

As far as dumbassness goes the trolls in Guitar Center over the weekends get my vote. I'd seen a Music Man SUB on sale for 500 bucks, went in on a Sunday to buy it. All kids in there, loads of pimply faced jerk offs farting around with gear. Seems not one of the turds working there thought, hmm, here's this actual adult standing over by this bass. He might even buy something. Nope. Went back on Monday when there were real grown ups in the place. Walked out with da bass and a fitted case. Guess the kids don't care about commission or bonuses.
