Okay, this has me baffled. I'm trying to find the music files for all that stuff I have in Windows Media Player. Where do they reside? I did searches for *.wav (tons of files but not my music files) and dug through all the obvious places (My Music, etc.) but darned if I can find them. I'd like to pull a couple of them into my DAW software for editing.

Are the files .mp3's and not WAV's?

Maybe do a ".mp3" search.

When you play something, try to 'save as' and see what the path is.

Hi, when you hit the "Windows+F" combo, be sure to use the advanced search and then select "computer" as this includes all non indexed locations.
In name enter .wav or .mp3 or whatever file extension you wish to search. :)

You may have ripped them as .wma ;)

Ahaaaaaaa

Thanks CFox....I did a search for *.wma and there they were. Interesting is that they were saved in several locations...apparently Media Player doesn't have a favorite folder.
FYI, since I have to convert these to .wav files I found a great free download converter called Switch...no adware either. Works great.

You probably already thought of this but you could do a search with the name of one of your audio files.

I may be wrong but I think they would be .wmv files or something similar to that.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, I don't use that software.
