Hi all,

I am not new to recording at all. However i have a slight problem. I have been trying to figure out how i can connect my BX5a monitors to the input of my mixer. I have a UCA 200 usb adapter to convert the signal, and I have the output of my speakers connected to the output of the UCA 200. This is my mixer.

I have the input from the UCA 200 connected to the output of the mixer. However, I would like to be able to listen to music from my computer and also be able to still record when im not listening to music. I want to be able to control the volume of my speakers with the volume of my mixer. Would I have to get a USB interface with more input/outputs? how could i accomplish this?

Here is my set up. It doesn't have the new monitors i bought.

Unless these are typos, then they might be your problem. You want the output of your mixer to go to your monitors, not the input.

What do you mean you have the output of your speaker connected to the output of the UCA? Like you have a headphone cord connecting them? Either way, you cannot plug an output into an output because nothing will happen, you need to plug outputs into inputs.
