I'll make this as short as I can. Talked to Randy Blevins about buying me 5 MCI machines. He was interested and asked for as much detail and pics as I could give him. After going through all of the swapping calls and emails he offered me 1,000.00 plus. Cool so far! He called the night before he was going to pick them up and said he still wanted them but something came up. That's cool, I understand! He said he'd keep in touch. I've called him several times and he doesn't answer his phone. OK! I left him a few emails, no reply. If he changed his mind that's cool! Just be man enough and professional enough to tell me so. I've never had trouble getting in contact before. Am I the only one that gets an attitude when I feel like I'm being ignored? Maybe something happened to him, I don't know. I think I gave him the benefit of the doubt for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Why do people not keep their word anymore?????? Anyway, going back to my original question, Has anyone dealt with Blevins Audio? I'd like to know good or bad. I've heard good things about him but I'm not in the least impressed.

I don't think Randy's much of an "email guy". He's a good guy and a straight shooter. Keep calling him.

Nice fellow as far as I know and I’ve heard nothing bad through the grapevine. But 3-4 weeks is too long unless the something that came up was pretty significant. I’ve been there for sure and priorities get turned upside down all of a sudden.

I would have someone else call him, but not in reference to your dealings with him. That's the best way to know if someone is avoiding you, so you can move on.

Hope it all works out for you one way or the other.

:)

I know I really lowered the boom on this thread but I just don't understand why people don't do what they say they will do. From everything I I have read he is in good standing with his customers. The email I sent was really to the point. I just explained to him what I thought. In fact here is the email I sent him.

Randy, I've called several times and have emailed at least once (not including this one.) When we last spoke on the phone you made it sound like you were still interested in buying the MCI decks. Now I get no calls or emails. This is a very unprofessional way to conduct business. If you changed your mind I would have respected that as long as I was told. Since you will not return any of my correspondents I have sold the units for 1,400.00 You have wasted my time and resources. Thanks for the professionalism and keeping your word.

It might be a little rough but I'm tired of people not doing the right thing and not being held accountable for it.

I just emailed to Matt Allen who may still work some for Randy (at least he did a few years ago, back when he rescued my Auditronics console and Mitch Easter's MCI console, M-23, Lyrec, etc. from the "Otho vortex".) I'll let you know if any useful info comes back my way.

Cheers,

Otto

Thanks for the offer but the matter is closed. I sold the decks and got more then what he was going to give me. Thanks for the concern.

No problem. I'm glad it worked out well.
