i wish i can post a link to let you guys listen but i don't know how lol.
firstly its just some cheap plug in computer mic, then it was my laptop mic now.

i was playing around with the sound recorder function on pc, and when i play the guitar, the sound recorded initially was okay, then suddenly it breaks into a flanger/chorus/phaser type of effect.

can somebody explain why?

You didn't accidentally step on the flanger/ chorus/ phaser pedal did you??

no i didn't lol, its not an april fool's day joke, besides , its over in my country.
the same thing happens when i use acoustic guitar

idk why. just get a 1/4" cable + a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. record directly from the amp's output to the computer.

For future reference, you can upload MP3s to MediaFire.com, FileFactory.com, and FileDen.com to name a few free services. And if all else fails, there's YouTube.

Maybe you've changed a setting, and gone to 'mix with file' or added some effects. Or maybe you are monitoring through the PC and the mike is picking that up as well.

i did that sir, and my amp got damn soft and it sounds horrible this way also.
nobody can explain this? nevermind, i was chatting with my friend online and he said my guitar sounded horrible so i went to record and heard how bad it was.

and the result?
auto added effect flanger/chorus/phaser.

using Sound Recorder from windows anyway.

Download Reaper - it's free. Or even Audacity. Anything is better than Windows Sound Recorder!
