My friend does live looping of keyboard, vocal and percussion. I want to record her live. She use a small mixer as a preamp for her mic, it sends out to a boss DD-6 delay pedal which is shared with the keyboard. The looper has stereo input and takes both line out of the delay pedal which has the keyboard and vocal mixed in. The looper line out to a small bass amp(mono). To be more clear:

Vocal mic-->mixer--->dd-6--->looper---bass amp--->PA system
Kybd--------------->dd-6--->looper--->bass amp--->PA (bass amp has XLR line out)

Is there a way to separate the kybd and the vocal signal in this set up? she tried using a separate looper for the vocal but had sync problem. Would adding a small amp make sense? Please share your wisdom! Thanks!

Just make sure the vocal is mixed correctly with the keyboard on her own small mixer and record it as-is.

Be sure to have a mic out in the room to get whatever comes out of the amp. That ambiance can be useful.

Do you mean routing a line out of the looper back in her mixer and mix everything in there? If that's the case, the sound tech will only has stereo lineout from her...is that a common practice?

I didn't read the setup clearly enough...

Just take the XLR out of the bass amp and use that, or put a DI before the bass amp and use that (XLR out to the recording, passthrough out to the bass amp).

Mess with the gain on the mixer until the vocal blends well.
