Hello guys,
new to this forum.
so i have a couple of cheap software just nice to record things, add effects like EQ, noise reduction , silence , and stuff.
i have been recording my electric guitar through a Line6 Floor Pod for a very long time and i'm getting sick of the sound .
i got a very good sound coming from my amp and i don't know how to record it with a mic.
so i tried recording with a crappy computer mic. When i recorded and did a playback after a few seconds of continuous strumming, the recorded sound had a phaser effect and my original guitar sound is altered. (i do not know why can somebody englighten me please)
so i'm thinking of recording using a Shure SM57, but i'm wondering what equipment i'll need.
-I'll need a mic stand
-Do i need a mixer to power the mic?
-How am i going to put all the recorded stuff into my PC? (i don't mind analog to digital conversions)
thanks in advance
