Well Ive been fiending, literally, to get the YAMAHA Motif, Korg Triton, Korg M3, and Roland Fanthom sounds in a virtual form for Reason 4. I would like to use them with my midi keyboard instead of buying the keyboard themselves...

Most of the stuff on eBay is pure single notes recorded and is garbage. How do I know? I was lured into buying a "4 dvd" set of the keyboards only to recieve 4 burned dvds with single notes recorded. Pure garbage I tell you!

Im trying save money instead of buying the racks...anybody know where or how I could the LEGIT refills for these keyboards online?

Won't happen unless the manufacturers decide to do it themselves.

Why would the cannibalize sales of current hardware to offer softsynth counterparts? Answer: They wont. Business 101...

Theyre EVIL!:(

Well is there any refills you would recommend or something that is similiar?

I need multiple sounds simply b/c I do alot of different genre's of music.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. But if you're looking for virtual instrument sounds, you could do worse than Sampletank 2 or Sonik Synth by IK Multimedia. There are a number of good software VST programmes that you can play via your MIDI keyboard. Exactly what are you looking for ?

Well I can't use VSTi's with Reason 4...so thats out of the question.

I need something that would provide many and different sounds...just like a sound module or a regular keyboard workstation would. You know? Except it has to be for REASON.

Maybe some NNXT patches or something...Idk...

I play anything from mexican regional to hardcore hip hop...so I would like something that provides me a variety of sounds...

Why can't Reason 4 use VSTis ? I thought any sequncer could house them.

VST is not a universal standard. Logic doesn't work with natively with VST either - only AUs.

Heck, Propellerheads doesn't support anything (VST, AU, RTAS, TDM, DXi). Its a completely closed app (which I personally think is ridiculous).

Kind of on the subject..... who can suggest a good 88 weighted key controller with ON BOARD VOICES. for around $300. to $400. Thanks

Thats kinda like asking for a new car with only a hundred miles:eek:...

You're not gonna get any 88's keys for that low...you'd have to drop AT LEAST a grand if you want onboard sounds...

but just try eBay or something.

Thats kind of the reason why I dont wanna buy a keyboard...Id rather buy refills or something for REASON.

I think it's stupid and lame as well...BUT Ive never had any problems with the program crashing or anything due to VST-related problems...

I just wish I could buy some sort of refill that would be a virtual keyboard with sounds...:(

Have you tried a Korg Triton
I got mine on ebay for 450
Has hundreds of sounds, onboard sequencer, dual arps.

Yeah theyre pretty nice...but I figured if I do buy a real keyboard I wanna get somethings thats no less than 76 keys...

Ive been looking at the new Korg m50 or m3...things look bad and have some killer sounds.

But they'll have to wait since I gotta fix my car first cos white & black keys cant drive you to and from work:D

I been wanting to use some of the instruments on logic but just havent got around to it.
Do you use any real instruments
