Okay I just got a Roland drumset (elec.) Adobe Audition 3..Still in the 30 day grace period not sure if I should keep it. Bought a Presonus audiobox interface and a Shure pg 57 Mic. I have bass guitar and 30w Marshall amp with a line out w/ the proper cord for my computer and I wanna make a good sounding CD. How am I doin? What else do I need? I play Metal and rock....Any Ideas? Oh yeah and I`m do everything...vocals guitar , bass and drums

Sounds like you've got everything you need hardware-wise. Now start working on those pesky years of experience gained through trial-and-error and a lot of really terrible sounding tracks before you start to make something worth listening to ;)

Best of luck! Start recording and don't stop learning, and all will be well.

Ain't that the damn truth!

What these guys said ^^^^ you can have all the equipment in the world but untill you've put in the time experimenting and learning, you're gonna make some bad recordings, it's just how it goes. It's still fun trying though :)

oh and I use Adobe Audition. I've tried pro tools, cubase, soundforge, and reaper, and audition was the one I liked best.
