I just gave a listen...yup...nicked the first five notes...safe after that...whew. I've heard the tune before...don't think I ever played it.

That's a really really great tune! Musta stuck in a corner of hy brain...apologies to Thelo.

Sounds a lot better. Still dont like those horns, but I can live with it. Have you tried some free vsti's to see if you can get a good horn sound? Either way, the song is great, and my girlfriend still loves it too. Keep up the good work Jeff.

dont think monk gives a fuk... actually it's the harmony that drives the tune pretty much always that way with monk... actually i was giving you props for it... if you're gonna steal... steal from the masters... when i do i call it hommage...

Yeah, great job! Groovy, phantastic guitar! :) Just the sound of the horns is not my cup of tea (sounds a bit too artificial), but anyway, really enjoyed it

Thanks, Ulli:

The last horn thing I put together using the same patches was getting raves. Then it hit me: I'd had the samplers' FX functions all 'On'. This time they were 'Off'. Went back to re-record all the horns , big diff. Much more organic.

Thanks for the tip-off. Hard to remember everything!

Hi Jeff!
A few times, it sounded like you weren't feeling so hot, for your vox - maybe a cold, or something? I think it actually works with the song, because a little bit of raspy goes with the lyrics of a partying, up all night, guy. I liked the whistling part, too. I read the prev comments, and found that there was someone who didn't like it, but I was already planning on writing to say I did!
Glad to hear your puter got all fixed back up.
I think you've worked through your issues from the previous comments, but I noticed a bit of background movement going on right at the end, just before the last guitar strum. Don't know if that was intentional.
I'm always amazed at the very large music you create all by yourself.
