Cubase Troubles

Hey guys. I have a presonus audiobox a macbook and Cubase le4. Everytime I record my sound comes through the speakers instead of the headphones. I switched it from buil in audio to presonus for the audio in put, but then it wouldnt produce any sound... Any suggestions would be much appreciated

By the "speakers", you mean the computer speakers, and by "headphones" I assume you mean the headphone jack on the audiobox?

Don't know much about macs, but I know with Vista I had to experiment with several ASIO drivers before I fixed my monitoring problems (with a Presonus Firepod). If you are not getting any sound out of your headphone jack (from through the audiobox) than I would double check the settings on cubase to see if you have the inputs and outputs correct. . .

Can you hear any sound through the headphones if you completely leave the computer out of the equation and just plug a guitar or mic into the audiobox?

you gotta restart cubase after your switch. it's tricky sometimes...
