That's the thing. The only thing that I tried to get accurate was the vocals. The rest I just did what I wanted to do. I tried to make it sound like some of the instrumentation they would use, but not what the song actually used. Thanks for listening, and for the comments but I myself like the bass. It's all subjective I guess.Man I haven't heard this song in forever. I think it's good overall and accurate to what I can remember, but it sounds too synthy for me. Like the bass for example. It sounds too Midi-ish. I'd like to hear more natural sounds for this song. Good job on the vocals.
I'm glad you did! I am a big Brian Wilson fan. I am a huge fan of SMiLE.I didn't think I'd like it but I do. I'm a huge fan of The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson in particular. Good job. Some points for you.
Thank you ver much! I really tried. I'm glad you liked it!I like it all...excellent mix, crystal clear...it does sound very midi(ish) but I think it suites it, I wouldnt guess it was a beach boys track, or really what era it was from except for some of the melody..very professional
great work![]()
Thank you VERY much! I'm glad you like it. That was a very kind comment!I've never listened to this song before and think it sounds great. The production is remarkable. The performance matches it, though.![]()
I never heard the track you mentioned, but I try not to keychange when I can help it. (Which has torn my throat a new one before.) I'm glad you liked it, and I too prefer the things you mentioned. They are more really fun to record. Thanks.Well done Adam,
I must admit I prefer your more organic recordings & those that take the synth thing to extremes.
Your vocals are the stand out - harmonies et al.
I didn't like the BBoys until I was about 40. Now I'm a Brian Wilson nut. My fav solo track would be Love & Mercy - I used it at school for a couple of years when I had some very good musical kids in my class - they'd sing it really well (had to change key obviously).
Thanks very much Heat. I'm glad you like it! (The fact you told me it sounded like one of my tunes, is a total complement!)Vocals are awesome. Don't know the original and don't really care for the beach boys, but this just sounds like a propman tune to me. Well done!
Thanks for the listen. And sorry. You're incorrect. I'm from Texas actually. I have had quite a few people telling me that they pick that up when I sing, but I kind of attribute that to listening to tons of beatles music. By the way, those are some incredible photographs. (I'm an amature photographer myself) I really like this one for some reason. Anyway, thanks again for listening, and I'm glad you liked it!Very nicely done. I'm a BB, Brian fan from way back. The vocals in your version seem to have a hint of a British accent. Am I correct on that? You don't indicate where you are from.
By the way, I was lucky enough to see Brian in concert at a convention a few years ago. You can check out my pictures of the event here: http://www.pbase.com/rking401/brian_wilson&page=all Click on a thumbnail to enlarge a picture.
Thank you. I'm glad you do!Cool harmonies. I like it! Do any more BB covers?
Well, thank you very much!Never heard this tune before but you've done a great job on it!
Thank you very much!Perfection. I'm gonna have to listen to the rest of your stuff now.
I really wish some band had followed up the Beach Boys style after them. I've listened to all their stuff and now there's just nothing else. Big hole their I'm surprised no one has successfully filled.
