Hi All: Judy and I were in it on our failed attempt to get from Ohio to NJ. This song came out today, while playing in my nicely heated studio. It made me think about all the people that have no heat, electric, or roof over their heads all the time.

I was using my 1930's kalamzzoo acoustic guitar with a vintage dearmond soundhole pu and princeton reverb amp. This is a hard one to capture because a lot of the guitar bleeds into the vocal mic. To get the vocals/harp sound 1/2 way decent means the guitar sounds bad. I tried to blend in the amp channel without overpowering the mix. The slower songs work better because I am not hitting the strings as hard. Walter

Nice tune. You definately hit that bluesy type 50's early 60's mix square on the head. Vey nice. Glad to see a fellow Ohioan

thanks Bushmaster! I am just an honorary Ohioan. We moved here 2-1/2 years ago and love it. Walter

I know I keep saying this but I think this is an awesome song. It has lots of feeling and it has a good old sound like BushmasterM4 mentioned. 5 Stars on soundclick.

thanks! I had to go back and listen to the song. I forget them a day or so after recording them. I love to play that old acoustic guitar with the dearmond pu. Walter
