BiaB for piano accompaniment?

Hi!

I'm looking for some vst to provide my country, bluesy creations with some piano accompaniment. As an example to what i mean, listen to the piano in this Hank Williams Jr. song;

Now i dont play piano so i'll need something to do that for me, say a Realguitar for piano. Ive searched and ive learned that probably the only option would be Band-in-a-box.
Id like to hear from BiaB-users if it might be useful to me.
What im interested in is if there is enough variation to help me out with a few songs to do this. Also is it possible to accent certain parts so the piano does some accentuating fills and variations etc. What i dont need is the same loop played over and over.
Also if you know of any another software that would be useful to me im really interested.

They have a demo you can download and try yourself.

Only YOU can make the judgement as to if it'll meet your needs (some of us are pickier than others and we all have different ears...)
 
Fair point, and im going to. However, if i find that the program itself could be useful considering the demo, that still doesnt mean that this justifies spending the cash for only a small portion of the program i will use. What i probably cant tell from the demo, as they are usually limited, is whether there is enough variation in the full version to help me out on quite a bit of songs.
I dont intend to spend a few 100 bucks just to have piano on two songs.
Thats why i was interested in opinions from users who have the full version.

EDIT; I cant seem to find a demoversion, at least not for Mac. There are demo-videos and audiodemos but that still doesnt answer my question....

I used to have a really old version of BIAB. It can do the accompaniment like you want, just not sure how well it will sound. Maybe it's gotten better over the years.

I also think you might be able to find midi files for free on the internet that can do what you want or close to it. Edit the midi files if you need.

You can find free piano vst's (try EMU Proteus VX) on the internet also.

Just some other ideas...
 
biab works great for generating country piano lines. THere are several styles available, well, hundreds really. It's not loop based, but if you want it to generate something truly unique you have to learn how to control the parameters from which it creates parts, and that takes a bit of time to learn. You will also have to have a good piano vsti in your chosen daw. Just dump the midi file into your tune and have it trigger a good piano. it definitely works. Also, the thing about country is that you can also use lots of the blues and jazz styles as well, especially the swing stuff.

Waht would you suggets as to what Pak to get? Will pro be enough or should i go for the Ultra or Mega, considering that id like some variation?

I did this on BIAB in a couple of minutes. C chord for 32 meas.
Most of the piano styles are for jazz with a couple of bossa's.
As mentioned, BIAB has a 30 day trial. GREAT support.
