Beyer M260: Experience? Clips? Comments?

Got my M260...I'm pretty happy with it, but I don't like the rolloff. It confuses me because you'd generally not be pushing this right up to a speaker or your mouth without lots of pops and possibly damaging the ribbon anyway, so the rolloff seems unnecessary.

It has a large peak primarily at 2.5k...very mid rangey and bright as expected. I haven't recorded anything yet, but I'm sure It'll get some use.

In the meantime, I just BIN'd a barely used M160 for $450 on ebay!!!

IMHO, you will find more use for the M160. I use a pair for overheads sometimes. They also work quite well on cabs together with a dynamic (SM57, MD421, etc.). You'll find the Beyers are pretty hardy for ribbons mics, although NOT indestructible.
