Cool - I like the guitar tones. Sustain plus snap. I also like the gradual build up, climax then cool down.....

Both the melody line and the lead are done on the LP R4 - it's the P90s in the Les Paul that give it that cool combination of snap and sustain. It's quite addictive.

The snare is sure up front. It's by design, although it seems to be more noticeable on lesser-fidelity systems (like computers, earbuds, etc.). The snare is a bit meatier through better systems and doesn't dominate quite so much.
That's a struggle for me - to get the recordings to sound equally pleasing through anything I put them through. I can never quite get there.
