Here's a new one. Just finished it up today so it's probably gonna need some tweaks.

Well done. Like the vocals like a group of guys singing (shouting?) it. Like the what's it called, echo? re-peat? of the vocal on 'dumb' and 'done.'

I love the nah nah na na na nyah intro to the solo - perfect for the theme.
Not as much top end on the guitars this time?
The bass really is well defined & clear.
great lead singing & the drums pound in sympathy - the toms come out really nicely.
Fun song about disturbia.
The gang vox work a treat - & the lines they do are terrific.
You must have a very organised mind to get the multi tracking done so efficiently & well.
Nice twist in the narrative: the sick inside recognizing the sick outside.

I haven't been reviewing songs here a lot lately, but I do take note when you post a new one. You continue to amaze me with your talents, not only playing the instruments, but the mixing you do is terrific. I only wish I could play/record/mix as well as you......

I like this one alot. I cant believe you put a "Parental Advisory" on it :D I have to say I also get a kick out of your artwork.

Thanks a lot Ray. Yeah you pretty much got the jist of the song. There's a little more to it though. I've got a dead giveaway in there, so I'm waiting to see if anyone nails it down. :D

I don't know how organized my mind is, but I do usually have a pretty clear idea of what I want the finished product to sound like. So in that regard, it's sometimes almost like doing a cover song. This one is a simple song that came together pretty easy.

Thanks a lot minerman. That's a very nice compliment. I don't know man, I just keep it simple. If it sounds good, it is good. If it doesn't sound good, turn knobs and push buttons until it does.

This is brilliant, Greg. The tone is similar to "Date Rape," which I liked also, but not as much.

Please tell me you're not playing all the instruments. I know you kick ass on the kit, but if you're playing the git as well, then you are a genius.

Naturally the drums are fantastic.

Who would a thunk . . . thinking man's punk!

I liked the movie, too. It made two careers, JF and RD.

Haha, thanks man. Yeah I do play everything. I'm a one-trick pony, but I try to do my one trick well. I'm kind of surprised to hear "date rape" mentioned. I've been re-tracking some stuff on that one to put it on my upcoming CD. I almost scrapped it. :o

And yeah, that movie is one of my all time favorites. I can identify with T.B. ;)

Thanks boz. I don't know. My process and songs are pretty simple. I don't put too much thought into them. I'm not trying to write anything that's gonna change the world. I just wanna rock. I can usually track the drums, bass, and rhythm guitars in one afternoon.

I tried hard to find the giveaway but I can't.....It's simply too well recorded and if you used any tricks, what the hell, you do what's right for the song, (I do it all the time, even if it means hangin' my naked hairy ass out the window....not a pretty sight:eek::D) Really great singing and I love the gang vocals. You really manage to bring the aggressiveness across, it just kicks ass so good. Can't help it, I'm a fan....:cool:

No recording tricks. It's all real. The "giveaway" to what the song is actually about is in the lyrics. ;)

Lol. Yup. One of my favoritest movies ever. I tried to write these lyrics through the eyes of my man, Travis Bickle. :cool:

I thought the monologue during the breakdown made it pretty obvious....if you've seen the movie....which everyone should have by now.
 
Yeah, it was the mirror and the driving thru the streets at night that put me on to it....:D
It's one of my favourite movies too, I'm a big De Niro fan.;)
