So guitar center called me today....

And said they had a free $20 gift card for me because they (and I quote) "Have not seen you in a while."

Anyone else have something like this happen? Sounds fishy, but what the hey...
 
They once gave me a $100 gift card...kinda sucks...like what can you buy for that:rolleyes:
 
Hmm for $100 I can alsmot rehead my entire set. Which is great, actually. Or buy me a 3 year supply of sticks (I still have some pairs left from the huge stash I bought 3 years ago, it was like $75)
 
The bottom line is...

they ALWAYS have room to move on price. Just keep that in mind. THAT kind of sucks...knowing that you have to haggle with these guys every time you want to buy something.
 
I allways find google handy for finding the lowest online price while I haggle with them.
 
Never used the place. Free gift cards are good no matter what the amount is.

have you made major purchases there? if so, you go on a "vip" list and get that sort of stuff from time to time. i've gotten 15% off cards, $20 and $50 cards, $100 off $500 or more purchase, etc.

although the last time i got a $50 one, i went in and spent like $55 total. that was labor day '08, and they haven't sent me any since. :D
 
If you don't want the card, I'll take it. :D:D:D:D:D:D

Of course I don't have a guitar center within 100 miles...:eek:
