A little while ago, icystorm posted his lyrics for "All I Loved in You", and Whatmy say decided they were worth looking at and giving a different treatment.

Not one to shirk from a challenge, I thought that I would give it a go also. Like Whatmysay, I took some liberties with Joseph's lyrics . . . not changing any, but just rearranging the structure a bit.

Here it is for anyone interested in listening. It is as different from Burt's as Burt's is different from Jospeh's.

That's excellent, Mike! I loved the guitar work throughout. Very clear production. A+!

I enjoyed the treatment you and Burt gave the song. Both are very good, in different ways.

Cheers,
Joseph

Another great version GZ. I enjoyed the music as much as the melody - I envy anyone who can play a slide...You're right this is as different as Burt's was...

It's pretty cool how different people create very different songs from the same set of lyrics.

Wow the B secti0on was a shock after the set up - a good shock but a shock nonetheless.
Nice arrangement as well as progressions.
Terrific work Mr GZ

GZ, that is excellent.

I hear hints of Traffic, Jethro Tull and Emerson,Lake & Palmer in there.

Well done on the slide guitar and the synth that pops in and out.

Me too. But, also Hawkwind, and that slide guitar is wonderful.
Very clean sound.
Lots of changes / alternations interesting instrumentation. Are they unusual chords?

You really pushed your vocals well. I like the change with '..thru faith alone..' and '...cast in stone..' 'the counting clock ...' sounds like Axle Rose.

Nice long harmonies at the end of second to last part.

Wicked. Pretty amazing.

And we always complain, 'They don't make music like they used to.'
Better then they used to. Heck of a lot cleaner sound.

I'm surprised.
