It looks exactly like a National bass I have. Same paint, same multi-colored wood headstock, same rocker switches. It's a great little bass. I would assume since they were made at the same company this would be a nice guitar, depending what you'd have to pay for it.
That looks a lot like one of the Japaneese imports from the mid 60s thru early 70s. Electra imported many of them then distributed them under various names. The mutiple switches reminds me of some of the Tiesco models from that era.

Apollo was another one of those cheap guitar brands in the 60s-70s that used the slider switches.
And the Teiscos I remember seeing at the local Radio Shack back then had rocker switches....
