Man, influences coming from everywhere. Queen, Floyd and that B3 from someone... :D

I'm on crappy headphones, can't comment on the mix, but the arrangement and performance are great.

When will you be done with your album???

Thanks man, I agree on the B3, our Keyboard just joined our band before we started recording, he blew my mind with that solo:cool:

I`m hopin the album will be done soon, I`m finishing the mixes now, a total of 5 songs it will be

If everything goes as planned I will send it to Mastering by Next week, we have a gig on the 23 of may, which we hoped too have our record ready too.

i really liked the songs i've heard from you. good luck with the shows. hopefully you guys are well received. it's always nerve wrecking playing new songs and wondering how it will be received. i know the feeling.

:DThanks, we`ll be releasing it in front of forgiving crowd, should go easy

Cool, Naka. I think the drums could come up a little bit overall. Love the stick definition on the OHs, by the way.

Nice job singing. The overall composition is great.

Got a title for the album yet?

Where can I sign up to get one?

Hey you did a great job mixing this...Im planning on going to the Conservatory of Recording Arts so im the pro at mixing yet...but i will get there...but you did a great job on the song!

Thanks Casey, I`ll have a tewak at those drums.

Brought home some Dyna-audio monitor`s today.

Great writing Nak...very melodic and it flows well from section to section. Lots of interesting and tasty parts going on as well as the vocals. You've really hit the high mark with your last two pieces.

I think the mix is great and should require minimal on mastering.

Thanks Ido, Its gettin close to a cigar now.:)

Nak,
I really like the Rhodes elec piano sound - used to have one m'self.
Nice textures in the arrangement - the whole performance is my 70's thang - the Freddie inspired interlude is lovely - it was a little too close in the 1st few seconds & I was afraid of pastich but you broke through that.
The 3.49 change is certainly out of the box - I like the Crimsonesque dueling saxes.
The B3 solo is great but I was holding out for one of those sustained note things on the end of it - it was an abrupt end for a solo.
I was getting worried about repeats in the 7 min section but you resolved that section quite well in the end.
I think it's your responsibility to have this song videoed live at the gig & posted for our enjoyment.
Epic

Reminds me of Camel and Floyd, a voice like Greg Lake and Roger Waters, later Freddie Mercury and a damn classy tune! The mix is wonderful, so much beautiful space in it. Nice sax and organ solos. Great song Nak!

Joey :):):):)

Don't go switching monitors mid-mixing, dude. It's a mindfuck.

I know, I`m just using them for minor changes.

they work great, I have my everyday monitors on standby.
the Dynaaudio`s are simply great, helps a lot.

thanks, we used the Native instruments elektirk piano vsti, for the rhodes, simply sound great, much better than the clavia stuff.

were touchin queen with that one piano, chotus part, it is intentional.
Its sort of a tribute to rock`n rolls greatest songwriter IMO.

the piano is a grand piano yamaha I think, recorded in a concert hall.

the b3 ending is intentional bare in mind its three solo`s in one go:D

we`ve done the tune live on a few occasions, worked like a charm, were a 5 piece band so it works out quite nice.

thanks mate:cool:
