I just bought a PreSonus Audiobox USB that came with Cuebase. My Cuebace LE 4 randomly stops recording. It never stops in the same place during recording but will always just stops. It looks like it pops into play because the time line keeps moving but with out recording. Everything else seems to work just fine. Anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem? It's impossible to get a track done with this happening. I just noticed that there is a little popping before the recording stops. is that a preset on the recording software, to cut rhe recording signal where there are pops?

Any help or advice would be awesome, thx!

I want to ask for help too! I'm having the exact same problem! Please anybody??

Can you list the hardware you are using?

Cubase will only stop recording if it recieves an input telling it to do so. How are you controlling the software?

Is it possible that somehow you've set the recording mode to 'drop in'? This means that it records from one designated point to another. If it's popping out to play, maybe it's getting to a marker that's designating the end of record point. It's a wild guess, but I can't think of anything else.

Thats a very good point right there. Maybe you have the indicators set.

These are the little triangles at the top of the main window, and create a blue highlighted area in the mix. Simply move both triangles to the start of the track.

My hardware is a Presonus audiobox usb.
Cuebase stops recording randomly, it has nothing to do with the markers.

Does the slider carry on moving from left to right and just not record, or does it simply stop completely?

the slider continues

The hardware is an Audiobox USB

The slider does continue but the recording ends and the track turned red (when it's recording to normal its color

Thanks, I'll give it a shot!

I was wondering if it was because my RAM is too small? But it is over 1G.

No, it won't be a problem with ram.

Try this.

With audio box disconnected, see if you can get Cubase to record. Don't worry about try to record anything. You're just trying to see whether it will pop out of recording.

Also, check to see if there are any processes running in background that poll your CPU, e.g. screensavers, virus checkers and so on. It's possible you've got something that takes over the CPU momentarily, causing Cubase to beome confused. (Likewise, check for viruses).

With the firebox connected, try recording in punch-in mode, and see if it pops out of recording doing that.

I have the same problem..but when it stops a pop-up says that it lost connection with the driver.

I'm about 90% sure it is because of RAM...because when i use cubase(not other software) my computer gets overloaded.

Now I'm bout to go delete some stuff.
