Howdy Cubase LE users! I have not purchased LE yet. but I am considering
it. also, considering a stand alone HD recorder, like a Fostex MR16HDCD.
I have a friend who has been trying to help me comprehend Nuendo on an
old PC he gave me that has Nuendo loaded on it. first, I aint getting it. cannot
get my head round all the bells and whistles. and mostly, I need to format
that hard drive and re-install Windows XP. I'll lose the Nuendo, but it's a cracked
copy anyway. perhaps the unethical aspect is slowing my learning curve. OR,
I am an old dude who used to record on 16 track reel to reel, and watched
the introduction and the extinction of the ADAT, or both. free copies of anything
aren't cool. and I don't grasp Nuendo anyway. even if I did and wanted to be a rat
and use it, I cannot get any online tech support. they would be wise to the
nature of the peculiar ownership of said software. anywayz.... I loved ADAT's....
they were pretty much idiot proof. and I never did the engineering anyway. I just
played on other peoples stuff. commercials, vanity recordings etc..the ADAT was
easy enough to understand, but they are now a most inconvenient device.
no repairs/service available, parts etc.. not happnin. not practical at all.
so, my question is: HOW HARD can Cubase LE really be? is it anywhere
near the learning curve of Nuendo? any tips or feedback much appreciated.
thanks..........Bill
