Not working- need help b4 I freak!

so I finally got all my recording gear together and was soo excited to get started on a cover to mess around with. I have a presonus audiobox, running cubase le4 on a macbook.

I set the audiobox as the audio device but when I sing into the mix, cubase isn't reading the sound. The problem is with cubase because when I sing into the mic, the clipping light will go on on the audiobox when I test it out.

How can I get this to work??? Please help me I'm dying to get started recording.

Help me out please!!
 
It sounds like you need to get into Cubase and set the recording devices.

Have you tried that?
 
you also need to assign it to the channel you are wanting to record to within cubase... ya got the quick start guide right??? take deep breath relax and work through it...
