This Noob Needs Help!

Hey guys I have cool edit pro 2.1 and an mxl 400 with a presonus usb. When i record in audacity it works perfect, when i record in cool edit i get half the vocals. It only picks up on the right side in my headphones and shows in the waves im getting half the sound. Any ideas?

Sounds like you're either recording a mono track in Audacity vs. a stereo one in CEP or you've got the CEP track panned hard right.

Double check your input selection. For vocals, it should likely be recorded as a mono track, not stereo, and should be (at least during recording) panned center.
