So, this is the thread where I'd love to see live videos and hear mp3's of people's non standard Holiday Music.

It's not obscene, it's just live video of my recently kaput band playing our song "troll song" (which is occasionally called "At War With Santa")

Can't find a good video of it but I Won't Be Home For Christmas by Blink 182 is a good one.

Well, I'm getting going with a new solo noise project right now. Come springtime, I'll probably have a new band.

The best part was the owner didn't understand the lyrics the night of the show and was so happy with our set, buying us drinks and chatting us up the rest of the night...Hell we even got paid. We did a second gig there to exactly the same result.

Then I posted a few songs, shot live at their bar, on youtube and it was like a switch went off.

No more asking when we'd gig again, no more answering emails or phone calls and no more ass kissing from the **** of a bar manager.

I meant by folks on the board. So a cover of that song would be ok (except for the fact that it'd be Blink182)
 
edit:screw it, I really don't care about the band at all. It was a joke carried over from another thread. Sorry for the confusion/thread derailment

Thanks a lot!

The audio for that video was the built in mic of the camera. I had the gain as low as it gets but it really distorted.

We had a joke with our band that I could cause feedback and distortion in any situation, even when I didn't have a mic. I've been known to blow out new mics rated for 130db, which sucks.

My wife pointed out that there are good Canadian metal bands too. She reminded me of Voivod. I think my exposure to Canadian music was Robin Sparkles, Alanis Morrisette, Rush and Crash Test Dummies.

I officially retract my statement about Canadia. :)

I'm sorry I don't know them. My wife probably does. What prompts this particular reference?

Edit: Holy crap. You're talking about our song. I didn't get that at all, I was thinking you were talking about the link posted and I had missed a band name. Thank you kindly for the props!
