Hey I'm looking for a decent rack effects unit, mostly for delay and reverb but others would be nice too. I don't want to spend much more than about $300. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

In that price range (I think it's that cheap) I like my TC Electronics M-One.

I've also got a Lexicon MX400 ($399). I bought it after the TC unit to use in a separate rig. But I haven't gotten around to using it much yet. So I first recommended the TC since I'm more familiar with it. But all the playing/testing I've done with the Lexicon says that's it quite good for the $$ as well...

I have a Lexicon M500 and the Alesis Midiverb 4. The Alesis is a better sounding unit and far more flexable in it's settings. I rarely use the Lexicon.
But, YMMV

Granted what sounds better is purely opinion, and I don't have much experience with the Lexicon m500 ( I do with mpx 1, m10o? PCM etc...) but I would not put the alesis reverbs even in the same ball park as the TC M One. The TC M one is a pretty versatile and solid unit for its price You could also look for a used yamaha SPX900, 990 or 1000.

I appreciate all the input. I'm going to look at the midiverb and also at the TC unit. Here's a stupid question . . . but anyway . . . .

Yes AND it is the only Alesis effect product that is actually way better than expected.
