I did a search on this but did not help. I have used sonar for years.I have used dual monitors with it for about 4 or 5 years. I just bought an mbox 2, trying to use dual monitors. I have tried dragging one window to second monitor but no go.What am I missing? There was not really a manual, well just the very basics with the mbox.
Thanks

PC?

you need to stretch the main PT window to the second monitor. Not the edit/mix window...but the window you see when PT starts up. If it's maximized full screen you may have to 'restore' it so you can resize the window to take up both screens. Then when you create a session you can move other windows freely inside.

I'm assuming we're talking about a Windows machine...

First thing to ask is have you stretched the main pro tools window out over the two monitors?

You need to have the window so that it is not maximised, instead "restored down" is what windows calls it, but basically not filling the screen. Then stretch the window across the two monitors.

You should then be able to drag around the mix and edit windows, as well as any plug-ins and transport etc.

If I hadn't taken a phone call I would have clicked POST before you! :D

Ah, I do that. All I did was shrink the mix window and try to slide it over to second monitor as I would do in sonar. Yes, sorry, I am useing windows.
