You can listen to our whole EP in the media player on the bottom right of the page. Theres also photo's up from our latest gig.

The EP's pretty much a done deal now but i'd love to hear comments good and bad, for next time.

Drums were tracked for £50 at a local studio, everything else was done in my bedroom for free. So its been done on a shoestring.
 
Takes forever to load the music files, and I am on a T3 lan... :(
 
A little too hardcore for me. I'm old :rolleyes:

I also think it was squashed a bit too much.
 
Hmm thats strange it loads quick for me and i've got relatively slow broadband, thanks for your comments.

Too much compression? Fair play, it was my first time mixing actual live drums and i did struggle a bit.
 
I listened to Walk The Plank and it sounds like the main mix is really heavily compressed. Everything ducks on the kick beat.
 
I was referring to the overall mix. It sounds like you have some hard limiters on the whole track. There are times when you have some distortion due to clipping.
 
Everything has pretty sweet tone for that type of music. The mix is pretty balanced but the kick is thumping the mix or something. Good job.

Hmm, the main mix isn't compressed, for everything to duck on the kick beat it'd have to be side chained i'd think. The kick IS heavily compressed itself though.
 
Sounds good.

Was any hi pass used on the kick at all? It might be reaching a bit low causing a ducking feel. I don't get it much on my setup, but I can tell what people are saying. Maybe it needs carved out more too... Hard to say.

i agree it does sound like the kick is very heavily compressed.

sounds like the backing vocals could come up a little and the guitars down a bit... on barebones

sounds good
 
Nice sounding mixes to me. The guitar tones were great. Nice job. Everything sounded good to me...i love METAL!!!!
