Chance,

Webmail is hosed right now. What was that second batch of email addresses you sent me to split up? Did you get the previous email with the groups of 100 email addresses in each?

I sent the first batch from my remote E-mail (not always reliable) As of around 7pm last night I hadn't received a response, so I re-sent it from my more reliable E-mail

Not sure about FedEx, but with USPS you can't insure a package for greater value than the customs declaration. Given GST and duty, it might not be in your best interest to overstate the value . . .

last time I checked Chance was stating what the value of the package is, hence why I split my package and am having one shipped to a friend - precisely to avoid the duty...rather than asking chance to lie. Or did I misinterpret you "..." ?

I just like inappropriate use of ellipses . . . :)

In this case, the poster wanted to overstate the value of the package for insurance purposes, not understate it for tax purposes. Which is a voluntary form of taxation, I suppose . . .

It could be our small contribution to the bail out . . .

I didn't get an email, Chance -- did you send just to the first group of 100, or to the entire list?

I haven't sent any mass mail yet. I'm still trying to sort it out.

getting close now....... got me thinking of the ACM 120's I'm getting. Is it modeled after the AKG C12 and if so how close is the circuit design. They would be a good candidate for upgrading the transformer etc. (sorry if this has been discussed in the thread before)

The 1200 is very much inclined towards the C12, and it is a good candidate for upgrading.

In fact, we are working right now on a very cool upgrade package.

LATEST UPDATE:
They are delivering the first container (20') tomorrow morning. I just found out that it is NOT paletized. This means a manual unload (Ugh!). The same holds true for the 40' container with the mic pres. For an extra charge of $400.00 they will palatize it and put in on a truck. I have no problem with unloading the 20' because they gave me 5 days free with the container.

Weird. I sent a response at about 2:00 in the afternoon. It's sitting on my work machine, so I'll resend it when I get out of this meeting. :)

Surfing forums while you are in a meeting?
I'd work there!

I got the list. You sent it to my unreliable E-dress and it was in the junk mail.

Uh oh, there should only be a total of just under 400 E-dresses total. If the groups are 100, there are 9 groups that you sent me

How bout some of you SoCal boys wanting to pick up your gear in person come on over to Chance's studio and give a helping hand. In exchange for your labors, you can get your gear early and the container will empty fast. And, you can give us an early preview of the pre's, and maybe throw in a pic or 2.

Hell. I'm in ny, and I'd be willing to fly out to lend a hand. I'm sure a few of my NYC peeps who want to save a little bread on shipping would be willing to help subsidize my trip.

Drop me a pm on prodigypro if there is anything I can do to help.
