my Korg X50 keyboard stopped working, and i determined that the power adaptor is fried. so i ordered an official Korg replacement adaptor which should arrive in a few weeks...but i need to use the keyboard in the meantime. so i purchased a radio shack power adaptor, which seems to have the same specs. i haven't tried plugging it in yet, because i admittedly don't know much about this stuff...i'm hoping someone with more knowledge can help me out. in your opinion, is this safe to use for a few weeks?:

any help is appreciated...i'm just paranoid about non-official power adaptors.

If it has the same specs and the same connector, then it should be fine. I use replacement PSUs on a lot of my gear with no issues.

Consider yourself lucky. My Korg X5D started behaving strangely and got so bad that it wouldn't even initialize. Turned out the main board went bad and it would cost as much as a new synth to fix it.
